Campus Connect from MDS is an easy to use, incredibly powerful Transaction Management System that puts you in total control.  It’s modular approach and awesome flexibility ensures a configuration that meets your exact requirements.

Removing Cash

Cash is a hassle. Purchasers need to have it on them to make a purchase. It needs to be collected, counted, audited and banked. This is both time consuming and a security risk. When cash is removed there’s no counting or trips to the bank. Campus Connect can remove cash by providing options to add value to a user account - similar to depositing money in a bank - or using a predetermined credit limit - like a credit card. Once a user’s “account” is in credit, the funds can be used to make purchases at Point of Sale terminals, vending machines, copiers and other equipment without using cash via virtually any type of card. From Mag Stripe to Prox to Mifare Smart Cards, MDS offers complete flexibility to meet your needs.

In the Cafeteria

Providing staff with the ability to purchase goods without cash allows staff to purchase what they want, when they like. Utilizing cards rather than cash will improve “line Throughput” and increase speed of services so your staff can enjoy their break and return to being productive quicker, no longer will your staff need to leave your Corporate Campus due to your Cafeteria being too busy. This often translates into happier employees who spend more, improving cafeteria profitability.

Point of Sale Systems

Point of Sale systems are great for managing a sales transaction and sometimes managing inventory. They do, however, have some limitations.

They must be staffed to be used, making purchases outside cafeteria hours difficult.

Cash is commonly required, which means counting, banking, security risks and potential loss.

Expenditures usually can’t be matched to an employee.

Coin Operated Vending Machines

Although they are convenient, coin operated vending machines have limitations.

The user has to have the correct coins.

The coin mechanism in the machine has to be functioning.

The money is typically with the vendor – not you

Stock-outs are a real possibility
